Matilija is a celebration of food and wine from California and Mexico, with an emphasis on California immigrant food history and culture.

California farms and farmers produce 2/3 of the country's fruit and nutsand 1/4 of its vegetables, while Mexico is the largest source of agricultural import for the United States.

California is also home to a large populationof immigrants whosefood cultures and traditions are woven into the very fabric of what California food is today, and is part of what we strive to promote and celebrate.
